Come along to our event: Towards a thriving Suicide Prevention Lived Experience Workforce in Central & Eastern Sydney

With SPLEWDI drawing to a close at the end of June 2025, we’re hosting a regional event that will bring together those working in the suicide prevention Lived Experience workforce, as well as those who work with and alongside them.

About the event

Over the past 12+ months, a number of activities and resources have been delivered through SPLEWDI around three key priorities — improving training and onboarding; improving access to quality peer supervision; and building knowledge and capacity to influence systems.

This event is an opportunity to bring together the regional Lived Experience workforce and others working in suicide prevention to share learnings from SPLEWDI and explore ways to continue building a regionally coordinated approach to developing a thriving Lived Experience workforce.

It will include a panel discussion and Q & A with people involved in peer workforce development at state and national levels, facilitated table discussions, and opportunities to network with peers. Session outputs will be captured and collated to inform a final ‘report’ back from SPLEWDI that can help to inform future opportunities for a regional approach to developing and supporting the peer workforce in the context of suicide prevention.
