Introducing the SPLEWDI Action Plan
Following on from the regional forum held in October 2024, we drafted an Action Plan — this plan outlines the endorsed activities that we’ll deliver through SPLEWDI over the coming months.
Our overall aim for the Action Plan is to contribute to a more compassionate support for people experiencing emotional distress and accessing suicide prevention services in Central and Eastern Sydney through a growing, supported and sustainable Lived Experience workforce.
The Action Plan is organised around the three key priorities that have consistently been identified by the Lived Experience workforce in Central and Eastern Sydney.
Improving training and onboarding
Access to quality supervision
Building knowledge and capacity to influence systems
The Action Plan outlines a range of tangible actions that we’ll deliver, such as a learning and development guide, funded training and other learning activities, funded peer supervision, and hosting a regional event — read through the plan below to learn more about these activities.
We’re excited about commencing work on arranging and implementing these activities through to June 2025, and we’ll be working closely with members of our SPLEWDI Guiding Coalition to guide and oversee what’s being delivered.
