Welcome to the SPLEWDI online hub.
This site was developed as part of the Suicide Prevention Lived Experience Workforce Development Initiative (SPLEWDI) as a resource for sharing information and updates throughout the project.
SPLEWDI came to an end in June 2025, and this site is now intended to be a reference for future work.

A regional approach to supporting and developing the suicide prevention Lived Experience workforce in Central and Eastern Sydney.
SPLEWDI was a time-limited program of activities delivered during 2024-25. It was made possible through Commonwealth Government’s Targeted Regional Initiatives for Suicide Prevention (TRISP) funding kindly provided by the Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network .
SPLEWDI involved the collaborative development of an Action Plan by a guiding coalition of the region’s Lived Experience workers. Over ~15 months, we hosted a range of activities and resources contriburing to three important priorities:
improving training and onboarding
improving access to quality peer supervision
building knowledge and capacity to influence systems
